Face Yoga

Yoga for your face! I don’t even know where to begin… At least they are doing some real yoga postures, even if they are not entirely getting the spirit of the poses or the practice. I’m guessing a lot of Face Yoga stems from various Pranayama exercise, which do sometimes involve contortions of the face. I’ve also heard that long holds of certain inversions, like Sirsasana (headstand), reverse the normal pull of gravity on your face and skin, thus reversing or retarding the effects of aging.

This is all besides the main point, though, which is why are people using yoga for such superficial reasons!? Shouldn’t our yoga practice teach us to be okay with how we age, instead of trying to fight the natural process of getting older?

I bet you this guy does not do Face Yoga:
